Zubeyir Ocakbaşı is one of the best places to taste Turkish Kebaps. As they gets famous , they increased their prices and become preffered by tourists and business world
What to try ?
Ocakbaşı means in front of the grill. If you are in a hurry or by your own you can ask to sit there but if you want to enjoy for an hour ask for a table.
All kebaps are very good but I would go personally for a 1.5 kebap for two so Both taste at least 4-5 different kebaps and consider most they like.
You can order Rakı , wine or bear but we Turks only drink rakı with kebap since spices and wine doesn't fit together. So I would go for raki or water to taste maximum.
They have two restaurants. One at Taksim and other one at Ataşehir. Taksim is the more orient one and Ataşehir is more modern one. If you stay on Europe side, choose the one at Taksim.
